افتراضي Shaykh Maher on imitating the greeting of the people of the book

Our Shaykh Abu AbdAllah Maher Bin Dhafer Al
Qahtani hafidahu Allah wrote

BismiLahi Rahmani Rahim

Has spread among Muslims if greeting each other from a far, and sometimes when they even close to each other, raising their right hand, greeting with the salam. There is no doubt that this form of greeting is of the Christians or moving the fingers while raising the hand, a greeting of the ones that Allah wrath is upon. And whomever imitates a people, he is one of them

'Ataa said for those that want to give a greeting let them shake their head.

Al-Tirmidhi has narrated in his collection from Koutaiba from Ibn Lahee'ah from Amr ibn Shu'ayb from his father from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah sala Allahu 'alayhi wa salam said is not one of us the one that resemble other than us, do not resemble the Jews and the Christians, the greetings of the Jews is shaking the fingers and the greeting of the Christians is the palm of the hand. Abu Issa said that this narration is weak but Ibn Al Mubarak narrated this hadith through Ibn Lahee'ah without taking him up.
Also this narration contains Ibn Lahee'ah in it, but it is from Koutaiba Ibn Said who is like 'Eebadala if he reports from Ibn Lahee'ah then it is sahih (authentic) as it is well known amongst the scholars of hadith.

Therefore this last hadith is hassan good
