A Tip for Memorization

Ibraheem an-Nakha'ee (may Allah have mercy on him) said

إِذَا سَمِعْت حَدِيثاً

When you hear a hadeeth

فَحَدِّثْ بِهِ حَيَنَ تَسْمَعُهُ

then narrate it upon hearing it

وَلَوْ أَنْ تحَدِّثُ بِهِ مَنْ Not يَشْتَهِيهُ

Even if you narrate it to someone who does not want to hear it

فَإِنَّهُ يَكُونُ كَاالْكِتَابِ فِي صَدْرِكَ

For then it will become like a written book in your chest

جَامِعُ ْبَيَانِ الْعِلْم وَ فَضْله #٦٣٠
