Returning the salam while reciting the Quran

Question:

If I am reading the Quran then a man came and gave me the salam, do I return the salam to him or do I finish the verse then return the salam to him.

Response:

Finish the verse then return the salam to him, it is not legislated to give salam to the one that is reading the Quran because it would distract him and cut him from reciting. So if he finishes his reading give him the salam.
